First Sunday of every month

A fascinating tour of Luddesdown Court, the hidden historical gem of our estate, and a glass of wine from our range.

See beyond the front door of our Grade-1 listed manor house with a royal connection with features dating from the Norman Conquest until the present day.

Picnics in the Vines

New for 2025: A picnic hamper for two, carefully prepared by The Lion and enjoyed amongst the vines.

Enjoy a lovingly prepared picnic hamper accompanied by a bottle of Silverhand Estate’s most popular wines; will you select the Silver Reign or Silver Reign Rosé?

WINE, VINE AND MEADOW WALK

Saturday 30th August

A guide will walk you around the estate, giving you a brief history of the area, the grape varieties we planted and how we grow and process them. You will also get to enjoy the surrounding meadows and learn about the flowers and animals that call these vineyards their home. You will learn their roles on the vineyard, as well as the conservation work we are undertaking around the site. 

BLUEBELL WALK

Saturday 12th April

Join us for a guided walk through the lovely, ancient woodlands within England’s largest organic vineyard – The Silverhand Estate. You’ll wander through carpets of bluebells and the picturesque surroundings of our beautiful vineyard. 

A Morning with Moths

Sunday 29th June

David, the Moth Recorder for Kent County, will be hosting a morning dedicated to moths at Silverhand Estate. After spending the night catching moths on the estate, he will share his findings from the previous evening, explaining and identifying the species he captured. The event includes a short walk to spot day-flying moths.

CORK & CARVE

Monday 29th – Friday 31st October

Join us from 2:00pm or 5:00pm at the Cellar Door for a charming evening of seasonal artistry and sparkling indulgence.

BUTTERFLY ID FOR BEGINNERS

Saturday 13th September

Spend a lovely two hours with our conservation team, walking around Silverhand Estate learning about all the butterflies we have on site. They will take you through step by step on how to use I.D. guides, how to identify butterflies, how to record findings and why citizen science surveys like this are important.

Insects of The Downs with Richard Moyse

Saturday 12th July

Spend the afternoon at Luddesdown learning about invertebrates and taking in the scenery. Richard will explain population changes and how insects are found and identified, before moving on to the picturesque meadows to see what insects you can spot. 

ORCHID WALK & TALK

Saturday 10th May

Our starting point will be outside the picturesque Court Lodge Manor; the walk will be uphill but at a steady pace. Once at the top, there is time to take in the scenery before moving on to where the orchids grow. You may have the chance to see the rare Fly orchid, a field of Pyramidal orchids and the beautiful Bee orchid, as well as the Common Spotted orchid. 

BANK HOLIDAY BLISS

Join us to have a taste of our exclusive limited edition 2018 Blanc de Noir, KYNG

Unwind with friends and fellow wine lovers in a relaxed atmosphere, where low-fi Ibiza-style house music will set the tone for an effortlessly sophisticated evening. Wine flights are also available, offering a curated journey through our range.

COMMUNITY HARVEST CELEBRATION 2025

Saturday 18th 

This is the time of the year we can really show off the (literal) fruits of our labour with our local community. Learn directly from our team the life cycle, the recent early harvest and process, and the flavours now being developed in wine production, with exclusive access to the winery. Enjoy tank tastings at different stages of our wine production.

Parking and Arrival

  • We have designated accessible parking spaces located close to the main entrance.
  • The pathway from the parking area to the entrance is smooth and level, ensuring easy access for wheelchairs and mobility aids.

Facilities

  • Our main building is fully accessible, with wide doorways and ramps where necessary.
  • Accessible restrooms are available and clearly signposted.
  • Assistance dogs are welcome throughout the vineyard.

Tours and Tastings

  • We offer guided tours that are wheelchair accessible. Please let us know in advance if you require any specific accommodations. Please be aware that as a working vineyard there is often uneven terrain and muddy puddles to navigate.
  • Our tasting room is designed to be accessible, with seating arrangements that cater to various needs.

Vineyard Grounds

  • While some areas of the vineyard may have uneven terrain, we have created accessible routes to key points of interest, including the vineyard and the winery.
  • We will also place rest points throughout the tour if necessary.

  • Our staff are trained to assist most visitors with disabilities and are happy to help with any specific requirements you may have.
  • If you have any questions or need further assistance, please contact us in advance of your visit.

CROCHET FOR BEGINNERS

Saturday 12th October

Come and learn how to crochet in this beginner class, in the beautiful surroundings of the North Downs. You will learn the basic stitches of crochet, and find out more about how the Silverhand Estate produces wool from its conservation grazing.
